Privacy Policy

Rankly.gg collects gameplay statistics from game servers running our mod. This includes:

• Steam ID — Your public Steam identifier, used to link gameplay events to your profile.
• Display Name — Your in-game name as reported by the game server.
• Gameplay Events — Kills, deaths, item interactions, vehicle usage, building activity, medical actions, and other in-game events.
• Position & Movement — Periodic position samples used for heatmaps and distance tracking.
• Session Data — Connect/disconnect timestamps and session duration.

We do not collect your IP address, email, real name, or any data outside of the game server environment.

Data is collected exclusively through the Rankly.gg server-side mod installed by the game server administrator. The mod runs on the game server, not on your computer. You do not need to install anything.

By playing on a server that uses the Rankly mod, your gameplay data is automatically captured and sent to our platform. Server administrators are responsible for informing their players about data collection.

We use collected data to:

• Generate public leaderboards and player profile pages for the server.
• Compute statistics, rankings, percentiles, and achievements.
• Produce server-level analytics (danger zones, weapon meta, population trends) visible to server administrators.
• Detect potential cheating or suspicious behaviour via outlier alerts for server admins.

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties. Data is only visible on the server's public leaderboard and to the server administrator.

If you link your Steam account on Rankly.gg, you can access privacy controls:

• Hide Stats — Toggle your profile visibility. When hidden, your stats will not appear on public leaderboards or profile pages.
• Request Data Deletion — Submit a GDPR deletion request. After a 7-day cooling-off period, all your data (events, stats, sessions, positions) will be permanently deleted.

Server administrators may also blacklist players, which hides their stats from public pages.

Gameplay data is retained indefinitely unless you request deletion or the server administrator removes their account.

Position data is aggregated periodically and raw position logs are purged within 24 hours to minimise storage.

GDPR deletion requests are processed automatically. After confirmation, all associated data is permanently removed within 7 days.

All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.3). Our servers are protected by firewalls, fail2ban, and access controls. Database backups are encrypted and retained for 7 days.
