Supported Maps

Rankly supports multiple DayZ maps for danger zones, heatmaps, and position tracking. Map detection is automatic — your server's map is identified from the DayZ server config on startup.

How Map Detection Works

When the Rankly mod starts on your server, it reads the serverDZ.cfg file and sends the map template name to Rankly. The platform automatically normalizes map name variants (e.g. "SakhalMap" becomes "Sakhal") and applies the correct world size for coordinate calculations.

No manual configuration is needed. If your map isn't detected correctly, you can override it in the Dashboard → Configuration page.

Coordinate System

DayZ uses a standard coordinate system where X runs West–East and Z runs South–North. Coordinates range from 0 to the map's world size (e.g. 15,360 for Chernarus).

The danger zone and heatmap systems divide the map into a grid of cells. Each kill, death, or position event is assigned to the cell it falls in based on its world coordinates.

Custom / Unknown Maps

If your server runs a map not listed above, Rankly will still collect all events and stats. Danger zone and heatmap visualizations will fall back to Chernarus dimensions until we add support for your map. Contact us if you'd like to request support for a specific map.
